I stopped by the shopRossi.com website tonight. I have been looking for a way to increase the LOP of my Rossi 92 45 Colt. Rossi now offers replacements stocks for several rifles including the 454 Casull complete with recoil pad. I ordered one to see if it will fit my rifle and give me an extra 1" to 1 1/2". The Rossi Model 92’s trigger is simply outstanding for a lever-action rifle. It has a short pull which is almost completely smooth, with only one minuscule spot of ‘grit’ before the perfectly crisp and predictable break. The pull measures an absolutely consistent 4.0 pounds, with only a modest amount of overtravel.

I figured I'd give them a try after a Google search for Rossi 92 butt stock. The stock and forend were shipped pretty quickly. I think I got the set to my door in a week or so. The mag tube if it is a 92 should have a recessed hole in the barrel that a set screw that goes through the mag tube cap sits in to retain the mag tube in its position. You should not inlet or modify the mag tube at all to make the barrel band screw fit correctly.

Stripped and sanded down the stock and foregrip with various grades of sandpaper and finally a scotch brite pad.
